FISIP Online,  Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is holding a workshop on Wednesday, 29 September 2021 at 10.00 – 12.00 WIB. This event uses the Zoom application to meet face to face online. This is because it is to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The theme of this event is "Managing Scientific Work References with Mendeley".

This event invited a resource person, namely Astri Ayu Purwati (Institute of Business and Pelita Indonesia Pekanbaru) moderated by Bambang Ruswandi, M.Stat (Lecturer at FISIP UIN Jakarta). A brief profile of Astri, who is a Masters graduate from the National University of Malaysia and is a permanent lecturer in the management study program at the Indonesian Business and Pelita Institute. Dean of FISIP Prof. Dr. Ali Munhanif, MA. gave a speech at this event. He said this event is important for students and we also encourage lecturers to take part in this workshop to improve their ability to write good scientific papers.

The event continued with Astri's presentation by providing information on the steps to install the Mendeley application on a Windows/Mac Os based laptop. After the participants installed Mendeley software on their laptops, Astri explained how to view references to scientific works that had been uploaded to Mendeley and also explained how to write good scientific papers.

After the resource person gave his presentation, a question and answer session was opened for the resource person by lecturers and students. Students were very active in asking questions to the resource persons and were enthusiastic from the start in participating in this workshop.
