The Importance of I'tikaf in the Last Ten Days of Ramadan
The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta on Thursday, April 13 2023 held a study for leaders and employees after midday prayers. This activity was held in the library meeting room. This study event was carried out during the month of Ramadan after midday prayers.
The speaker of this study is the Head of the Political Science Study Program, Mr. Dr. Iding Rosyidin, M.Si with his enthusiastic demeanor. The theme of this study is " The Priority of I'tikaf in the Last Ten Days of Ramadan ".
According to the term or terminology, i'tikaf is remaining silent in the mosque to draw closer to Allah SWT. by worshiping, dhikr, exalting. "The law of i'tikaf is sunnah, it can be carried out at any time possible, especially in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan," said Iding.
The pillars of i'tikaf consist of: (1) The intention of i'tikaf, either sunnah i'tikaf or nadzar i'tikaf. If a Muslim intends to perform i'tikaf, then he is obliged to carry out the nadzar and his intention is the intention of i'tikaf to fulfill his nadzar. (2) Remain silent in the mosque, for a short or long time according to the wishes of the person making 'tikaf or mu'takif.
