FISIP News, Wednesday, April 9, 2025. FISIP UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta received a visit from Professor Heather Zwicker, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS), University of Queensland Australia on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Accompanying Prof. Zwicker to FISIP were Majella Ferguson (Senior Manager International Services, HASS) and Nadia Sarah (Senior Principal Adviser South East Asia, UQ Global Strategy and Partnerships).

From the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of UIN Jakarta, also present were Prof. Dr. Dzuriyatun Toyibah, M.Sc., MA. (Dean), Dr. Iding Rosyidin, M.Sc (Deputy Dean 1), Dr. Cucu Nurhayati, M.Sc (Deputy Dean 2), Dr. Agus Nilmada Azmi, M.Sc (Deputy Dean 3), Dr. Suryani, M.Sc (Head of Undergraduate Study Program in Political Science), Robi Sugara, M.Sc (Head of International Relations Study Program), Dr. Joharotul Jamilah, M.Sc (Head of Sociology Study Program), Dr. Idris Thaha, M.Sc (Head of Masters Study Program in Political Science), Dr. Muhamad Adian Firnas, M.Sc and Faisal Nurdin Idris, M.Sc., Ph.D.

The visit from the University of Queensland (UQ) to FISIP is a follow-up discussion in pioneering cooperation between UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and UQ which will be realized by FISIP UIN Jakarta and the Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, University of Queensland (HASS UQ). Referring to the QS World University Ranking in 2025, the University of Queensland (UQ) is ranked 40th in the world. UQ is a member of the Group of Eight (Australian universities) which are leading universities in Australia ( https://go8.edu.au/ ) namely the University of Melbourne, Australian National University, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, University of Western Australia, University of Adelaide, Monash University, and UNSW Sydney.

In line with the Tridharma of Higher Education and the internationalization of higher education, FISIP continues to strive and is committed to working with the top QS100 World University Rankings , including by pioneering cooperation with HASS UQ. The visit of Prof. Heather Zwicker is important in finalizing the framework of cooperation and collaboration between the two universities.(Faisal/Tries)
