FISIP Online – The Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP) at UIN Jakarta organized the Academic and Student Orientation Program (PBAK) on Wednesday-Thursday (August 30-31, 2023) at the Bahtiar Effendy Auditorium of FISIP UIN Jakarta. The event was officially opened by the Dean of FISIP UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Dzuriyatun Toyibah, M.Si., MA.

The PBAK at FISIP is an orientation program for new students related to the academic and student culture at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science, UIN Jakarta. Additionally, PBAK aims to introduce the academic and learning system, as well as the institutions and their management methods.

Carrying the theme "Membara, Bersuara, Bergelora" ("Fiery, Vocal, Stormy"), this event was attended by approximately 400 new students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science at UIN Jakarta for the Academic Year 2023/2024.

In her welcoming address, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Science (FISIP) at UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Dzuriyatun Toyibah, M.Si., MA, greeted the arrival of the new students.

"Welcome and congratulations on joining the large family of FISIP UIN Jakarta," she said.

According to the Dean, choosing FISIP UIN Jakarta as the learning destination for the new students is a wise decision. She also explained that the tradition at FISIP UIN Jakarta is one that opposes violence.

"All programs in FISIP UIN Jakarta emphasize a learning process without violence. We create a pleasant learning atmosphere so that everyone will undergo the learning process happily," the Dean stated.

In its 14-year existence, she added, FISIP has become a respected faculty at the regional, national, and international levels.

"Therefore, we hope that all of you can study seriously and establish good social relationships so that when you immerse yourselves in society, you can contribute positively according to your expertise," she added.

In line with the Dean, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Iding Rosyidin, M.Si also stated that choosing FISIP as the learning destination for new students is the right decision.

"In this faculty, you will gain knowledge from experts who have high competence in their fields. Therefore, please make the most of your study time as wisely and effectively as possible," he said.
