FISIP Online,  Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UIN Syarif Hidayatullah held Mandeley soft skills training which was held on Friday, 01 April 2022 at 08.00-10.00 WIB. This event uses the Zoom application to meet face to face online. This is because it is to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The theme of this event is "Citation and Bibliography " .

This workshop event invited speakers, namely Dr. Lutfi Haris, M.Sc (Lecturer at Brawijaya University Malang) and moderated by Muhammad Hasbi (FISIP UIN Jakarta student). The event opened with remarks from the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, FISIP UIN Jakarta, Dr. Agus Nilmada Azmi, M.Si welcomed this event for FISIP students.

Mendeley is an  open source reference management software that can be obtained for free. The feature offered makes it easier for writers and supervisors to track the authenticity of references used by their students. Not only that, with this kind of network researchers in various parts of the world can collaborate and share research data.

Lutfi Haris explains the steps to install the Mendeley application for a Windows or Mac-based laptop. "Mendeley also has features that integrate with various word processing software such as Microsoft Word, Open Office, and Libre Office," said Lutfi.

It is hoped that holding this training event will broaden the insight of FISIP UIN Jakarta students on how to write good scientific papers by taking references from various research using the Mendeley software application. After the resource person explained the material, a question and answer session was opened and then the training event closed.
