Guest Lecture: Theory and Trends of Feminism
FISIP Online, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences is holding a Guest Lecture (guest lecturer) which will be held on Wednesday, April 20 2022 at 13.00 – 15.00 WIB. This event uses the Zoom application to meet face to face online. This is because it is to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The theme of this event is "Theories and Trends of Feminism" .
This time, Studium General invited speakers, namely, Dr. Iklilah Muzayyanah Dini Fajriyah, M.Si (University of Indonesia). A glance at Dr. Iklilah Muzayyanah Dini Fajriyah, M.Si is a permanent lecturer at the Gender Studies Study Program, University of Indonesia. Iklilah completed his doctoral education at the University of Indonesia in 2017. The event was moderated by Dr. Ida Rosyidah, M.Si (FISIP UIN Jakarta).
At the start of the event, Iklilah delivered material about what feminism is and whether it is against Islam. According to her, the aim of feminism is to carry out social movements for change towards the realization of social systems and institutions that are gender more just and egalitarian, a society that is free from all forms of discrimination, exploitation and violence.
After the resource person gave his presentation, a question and answer session was opened for the resource person by students. Students were very active in asking questions to resource persons and were enthusiastic from the start of participating in this general studium.
