FISIP Online,  Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a workshop for employees, leaders, students and the surrounding community on Tuesday, 30 August 2022 at the Meeting Room on the 3rd floor. The theme of this activity was "Green Campus" .

For information, in 2021 FISIP UIN Jakarta won the Green Campus category in the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta environment because of the environmentally friendly wastewater disposal results. For 2022, FISIP created a concept in the context of environmental preservation, not only a campus environment filled with green trees but the extent to which campus residents can utilize the resources available in the campus environment effectively and efficiently, for example in the use of paper, stationery, use of electricity, water, land, waste management etc.

This workshop invited two speakers, namely, Dr. Tantan Hermanysah (Lecturer at UIN Jakarta) and Anies Hidayah, MH. (Urban Farming Club) and this event was moderated by Dr. Dzuriyatun Toyibah, M.Si (Lecturer at UIN Jakarta).

Tantan was the first resource person to give a presentation by explaining how to process organic and non-organic waste in the campus environment. After that, it was continued by Anies who gave a presentation by explaining how to make the campus green with organic plants that can be consumed directly without pesticides.

FISIP UIN Jakarta has a garden at the back of the building which is planted with vegetables which are used for food security for the local community. Food sources do not always come from conventional patterns that require large areas of land. However, it can also be adaptive to urban life. For example, the urban farming model being developed by FISIP UIN Jakarta is currently utilizing the backyard of the building.

After the event was finished, it continued with the announcement of the results of the employee evaluation carried out by the FISIP leadership.
