FISIP Online, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta together with DPD RI held a public dialogue event with the theme "Discourse on the 5th Amendment to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia". This dialogue event was held on Wednesday, February 16 2022 at the Prof. Auditorium. Bahtiar Effendy.

This public dialogue event invited speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Ali Munhanif (Dean of FISIP UIN Jakarta), Dr. Tohadi (President University Constitutional Law Lecturer), Dr. A. Bakir Ihsan (FISIP UIN Jakarta), Dr. Iding Rosyidin (FISIP UIN Jakarta). The participants who attended this event consisted of representatives of DPD RI members, lecturers and students of FISIP UIN Jakarta.

Dean of FISIP, Prof.Dr. Ali Munhanif, MA. gave an introductory speech by thanking DPD members, lecturers and student representatives who also attended the public dialogue event. Next, the representative from DPD RI Tamsil Linrung gave an introductory speech.

In his speech, Tamsil Linrung said that limiting the candidacy for President and Vice President to only being proposed by political parties and coalitions of political parties is a form of degradation of the rights of individual citizens to participate in government and run as candidates for President and Vice President from an independent route.

After the speech, the event continued with the presentation of souvenirs from FISIP and DPD RI. This was then continued with the presentation of material from each resource person and ended with a question and answer session.
